Our Philippine Vacation – Part III (A Wonderful Reunion after 14 years)

We thought we have adjusted our time, but we were wrong. We all woke up at around 2am in the morning. We felt hungry and so we ate our leftovers from lunch. It was funny because we had the same body clocks. We stayed up until 4am and went back to sleep.

So we woke up at around lunch time feeling hungry again. We toured our area and check what’s nearby. We found a McDonald’s across our street, as well as a church. We don’t normally eat McDonald’s in the US, but the one in the Phils is different. They have rice for breakfast, chicken and spaghetti for lunch. So we ate our brunch there with longsilog and tapsilog…Of course we didn’t get tired of it.

My older sister was meeting us at our condo at around 2pm. So I was so excited to see her again after 14 years. We prepared ourselves and lay our pasalubongs at the table. We kept on calling each other to check if they have found our place. So, came the knock. I opened the door and just couldn’t believe it! We finally met! That was a grand time! And at first, I didn’t know what or how I’d felt but, sisters bond are really different. Hugs and kisses to each other, we almost forgot that our kids and hubbies existed! LOL! They too haven’t met each other…But Ric said to give us time to just catch up. I felt so hot, I didn’t care…I was sweating. By the time we got settled, we talked and told stories about when we’re young. It was good to reminisce the grand years we had together. All others were just listening to us, smiling and laughing as we exchanged stories. My sister hasn’t changed much, just put a little pounds, but she’s still pretty. I was a little jealous that I thought I aged more than her, due to the stressful life in the US. But I was happy she complimented that I looked good and sexy nevertheless.

This is us when we're little:

I know we’re beyond sibling rivalries and we have matured (crying…=() and our relationship had become more loving and strong. We did miss each other a lot…we just felt it. I gave her our pasalubongs, which included several clothes to her kids, a bag, and of course some Dallas Mavs championship gears. Her little kiddos are just so cute! They're a beautiful family!

Here's both of our families:

More pics outside our condo:

Since our condo is near Resorts World, which is one of the hippest place in town, we decided to hang out here. We walked over to Resorts World, by passing through Marriot Hotel, where security was so tight like an airport. We took some pictures of course. Then we passed by Resorts World, which is a Casino.

So we couldn’t go inside since we have kids with us. But it really looks nice from the outside. So we just again took some pix. Now, we finally reached the mall, and it’s really grand! It’s where the high end stores, restos as well as clubs are located. The famous ‘republique’ is there, which was the latest hang out of some showbiz peeps.
We spent time just going through some of the shops, checking out their products. We walked through all 4 floors. By the time it was 6, we decided to go to the resto ‘Tao Yuan’ where my sister had a reservation. Her reservation was really at 6:30pm but we were ready to eat. We feasted again on some Asian cuisine. It was delish…My sister while ordering jokingly told her hubby that they had to order 14 different kinds of foods to signify the 14 years we have been apart. But the food was just enough for our hungry stomachs.

After dinner, we were ready to watch a movie ‘Transformers’. I was impressed that the theater in this mall was also high end. So that means ‘3d’ plus there is a seat no. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I remember when we were young I was the one into transformers and all those cartoons sci fi and not my sister. I teased her that she used to watch Filipino movies and showbiz talkshows which were bakya before.

We capped the night by going to Starbucks. We just enjoyed watching our kids bond. You know when you’re really family.
